“Dark” delivers a rich, deep chocolate-dominant scent that’s more about bittersweet cacao than sugary milk chocolate. In the opening you get a cocoa powder / bitter chocolate punch. As it develops, warm spices (especially cinnamon) and a nutty hazelnut element mellow it slightly. The vanilla base softens the edges, but it doesn’t go overly sweet—still retains a “dark”, intense gourmand character. Some wearers also pick up subtle leather / resinous / woody or smoky undertones in the dry-down.
